side grip for a clearer site picture

maybe it's just me but i've found using the side grip technique helps me get a clearer site picture on the target. what about you guys?

Try posting a picture of this. Don't get your post. If you're talking about laying your thumb on the side instead of on top of the wrist of the stock than yeah that could be forcing you to get your head inline with your scope.

No. I'm holding it sideways "gangsta" style b/c I feel I get a clearer site picture. I'm shooting it from a chair b/c my balance stinks after a medical emergency.

appreciate the reply guy. guess dominate eye needs work. rear site covers target. only with a semi-auto pistol though. rifle does not seem to obscure the view. odd i know.

I'm not getting how the rear sight is covering the target. We look through the rear sight. If too wide, the front sight can cover the target.
When holding the pistol on it's side, is the front sight in the sight picture?

that wasn't what I was holding then. I was holding a friend's 40 cal Glock. Which I don't happen to own. The flintlock in the photo is an antique. Just to show how I was holding the .40 cal. Lol.

I thought that is the standard California grip, all things lean left or they don’t work.
