I've been thinking of making one of these. Right now I have a follower rest that I made spring loaded fingers for.

Is the size of the rams pretty much the only thing you'd change?

Yeah. Works fine as is, but if you could source some smaller actuators it would make for a nicer package.

Nice work, I've been kicking this idea around for a bit now after being pretty unsuccessful with contouring on my TL1. I know it can be done without a follower, but I sure haven't found the right combination of tooling and speeds/feeds yet.

Build one. For 100 dollars in parts it's a no brainer. It was worth the time it took to make, after doing 1 barrel.
