Should I touch up exposed steel on SCAR 17s barrel?

So, I had mod-remorse and decided to take my SCAR 17s and remove the Kinetic MREX Rail Extension and restore the rifle to its original form.

Sure enough, the screws that Kinetic provided for the MREX rail extension were too long and "touched" barrel of the SCAR. So, I have four shiny little circles. They aren't visible, they are hidden within the stock of the rifle.

I didn't think about it at the time, so I just reassembled everything and left those four little dots as they were.

I really don't feel like taking the barrel out again, but if I do, should I take some high temp paint and touch up those four exposed areas or is it not worth the hassle?

I don't shoot in the rain and the rifle is kept in a safe with humidity control.

Thanks for any thoughts!

Agree I wouldn't bother now, but if it nags at you or the next time you have it apart, cold blue. NOT paint. And these are not getting hot enough for hi temp paint to be needed even if you do ever paint something to rattle-camo it. Any paint will do.

If you do, degrease, cold blue with until very very black with a Q-tip. A couple coats is fine. Kill the chemistry and generally finish with some of whatever you favorite oil is. It will rust through without getting oil to infuse also, but on barrel steel it's going to be all cosmetic. You won't like rust four holes through the barrel eve with a couple centuries of it being untreated.

Thank you very much for the feedback!

On a serious note…Cerakote the barrel to Match factory finish? I understand why the marks would bother you. It’s definitely a unique and expensive rifle.
