Should I go 6br

Here are two typical targets. One with ten shots the other twenty. 500 prone. With this setup. Bighorn tl3 action, savage prefit shilen select match. 6.5 creed. The rifle shoots .4s on the bench as shown in the pic. I just cant seem to get any better then 1moa prone. I can't see my hits without a brake and don't want one anymore. To loud! Thanx mike

That bench doesn't look too sturdy try a concrete bench. Also in prone try a rest with a sandbag under the back of the stock to get a truer test of the rifle.
If you go to a 6 br you get less recoil, less barrel heat, cheaper reloading components and arguable a more potentially accurate cartridge. A bad group from a 6 br is an awesome group from most rifles.

Your entire problem is you are on the wrong forum! If you go to a Creedmore forum you could tell them you were shooting at 1500 yards, all day long! But NOOOO, you are here and you are honest. ;)

Go 6BR

But keep the Creedmore barrel, just in case the talisman ever makes it to your doorstep. it fixes EVERYTHING.

I'd go BRA, BRX or Dasher. 7.5 twist. You have to case capacity to shoot any 6mm bullet and a solid 1K rifle if need ever arises.

First I'd like to say nice range.
Mike what load are you running out of curiosity?
Can't argue with the masses about the 6, it is inherently accurate.

I had my doubts about going with a 6br. I still shoot a 260 and 300 wsm but the br is truly a joy to shoot and load for. U will like it. Even a fool like me can’t screw up the br. No doubt there are better 1000 yard chambers out there but the good old br is still hard to beat even out there where the hoot owls screw the chickens.

I don’t know what kind of shooting your doing but I love shooting suppressed. They act as sort of a muzzle break and of course quiet down the report a lot. It’s alot of fun shooting steel and actually being able to here the gong at extended ranges after the sound gets back to you.

Until you own a 6BR, you will never really know how well you can shoot. It is really satisfying to be able to shoot small groups with something/anything. That gives you confidence.
Some days you go to the range and it seems that your groups with caliber X,Y,or Z are all over he place. You wonder if it is you or the rifle. Pick up your trusty 6BR and shoot a couple of groups and you will have your answer.

Ive had a few 6brs and they are the real deal in 8tw with 105s , 107s The first shots I ever made after fouling in my first 6BR I was literally center punching small 1/2" grasshoppers that were jumping on my target at 150 yds at will...At my range I could consistently ring our 1.5" steel plates at 300 yds and look like a pro to the avg range shooter who couldn't hit 12" @ 200. They were in awe of that little round. If you're coming from a 6 creed you'll have to be more careful with the wind changes but other than that its a boringly accurate cartridge...I've had the itch to chamber up another 6br lately, just might get it done this winter now that Im thinking about it. One of my shooting buddies has been running a 6brx for the past few years and he's convinced its superior to the standard 6br. He shoots alot of 600 yd matches and likes the extra velocity. However it requires fire forming and you lose the long neck, but I think thats the beauty of the regular old 6br ....just stuff it with 30 gns of varget with a 105 jammed and go shoot bugholes, no time spent on fire forming..
