Should I float a Wby Vanguard?

I have a Wby Vanguard 22-250 with a walnut stock and a light sporter barrel. The barrel is floated from the action out to a pressure point near the end of the stock. Wby did a great job with this stock and obviously put some effort into floating the barrel and setting up the pressure point.

My question is, would accuracy improve if I sanded off the pressure point and fully floated the barrel? Could it make accuracy worse?

Otter, you can simply sand off the pressure contant bump and if it doesn't improve your accurcy just superglue a cut strip or two of business card stock back in place. If your worried abot moisture those plastic cards you get in juck mail work well. This was what a lot of folks used for years to provide a little upward barrel pressure point prior to free floating the barrel.
