Shotgun bluing

Any recommendation on who does shotgun barrel bluing (SxS barrel) in or close to Florida (or East Coast)

Not sure but be very careful on who does the job, most sxs are soft soldered and need to be slow rust blued. Wrights Gunsmithing in IL would be a choice.

Call Rhino Chokes in Clearwater FL. Explain to them what you want to do. They may be of any help. They've have worked on a couple of my shotguns when Joe used to be the owner, he has since retired, but the business still exists.

Bluing is much like painting. It's mostly about the prep work. But yes, as Mike Kohout said, lots of doubles need to be rust blued. Several other guns as well. Many of the old Brownings and a common one is the older 94 Winchesters. Anyone that professionally offers the service should be able to tell you what it needs. Rust bluing is slower and typically more expensive than hot bluing but it's tough and beautiful if done properly.

You need to look at old school rust blueing for this. Trying to find a place that dose that localy can be diffacult. Hi temp salt blueing is not an option and neither is nitriding and that is what is easiest to find today! Slow rust bluing is time consuming to do correctly and trying to match say the action to the barrels and barrel block is almost impossible without redoing the entire shotgun.
