Shot my first match today....

I shot my first match today. It's been something I've been wanting to do for a couple years now. Nodak7mm on here talked me into joining him and I'm glad I did. The mirage at 300 was unreal! Targets were just a blob. 600 was much easier to see but the wind kicked my butt. The wind dropped on me about a 1/3 of the way through. Cost me 2 shots before I got back on. Then it picked up again towards the end and cost me 2 more shots to get back. Oh well, I was a great learning experience. The gun can definitely do it, it's just the nut behind the trigger that needs to pay more attention to the wind!

Its addicting, eh? Ya done good and glad to share drive with ya.. Oh those wind switches caught everybody.... That 6 hurt me... :-[

Maybe if you sell a few of them there decoys, ya can get a dedicated mid-range F-class rig.... ;D

I took 2 6's because of the wind. Dangit.

Oh come on now, you know I already have another rig in the works. Besides, I can't help the fact that they didn't have the right class for that rifle. If anything, I should get a handicap for shooting an F T/R rig in the open class.

Congrats... I remember my first shoot. I walked in there thinking I was something. It was only a 100 yard VFS match, and I had me a kick butt .308. It didn't stand a chance against those guns design for the short range score format. But on thing I came out of there with... I WAS HOOKED!!!!!

Congrats on your first shoot. Hope you had as much fun on yours as I had on mine.
