Shot my first ever f class match today. Came to really only learn. Learn the pits. Learn scoring, learn the way the match runs... had a lot to keep focused on other than shooting.
I ran my 6XC with 105 vlds on a rempel bipod, f open of course. Morning was calmish, first two relays were smooth 5-10mph, third relay wind went to hell, and it got hot quick. Switching winds each shot between boils, one shot would be a left hold off, next would be to the right double the distance holding off, then itd boil... it was a mess, everyone agreed...
Ended up in 3rd place 586-17X
197-4x
198-9x
191-4x
1st place 598-36X
2nd place was 586-22X
Tied for 2nd score wise, X count got me though.
Over the years here, Ive learned, well most of what I know reloading wise. I post this to just thank those of you that have helped advise me of things over the years. I didnt hold the 10, aint nothing to brag on, but I had fun and learned alot.
Ivd heard it many times, but it came to light today about it coming down to the driver behind the gun. My 6XC I think holds its own against the 284s today, but reading wind and making the right call at the right time is the meat and potatoes of it for me.
Thanks again to all of you that have helped me hone my reloading skills over the years! Too many of yall to name.
Hopefully next match Ill be a little less on edge nerve wise!
