short range f-class? and prone?

What is the difference between f-class and benchrest for score? (Aside from the obvious ground/bench deal)
F class is shot slow fire. One shot then wait for target to be pulled and marked. The target faces are different also. F class has a black target face that you can't make out bullet holes beyond 300yds.

My apologies. Disregard the question.

I've had this target saved for a while, shot at it a few times for fun at 100. If I remember the idea was to shoot two shots at each target. Could be shot pair fire on separate targets to slow it down.

You'd have to use something like an Hunter Benchrest or Varmint-For-Score target - one shot per bullseye. Throw out some of the 'extra' scoring rings that we don't need, scrunch the targets closer together. Then go to 'worst edge' scoring to get rid of the 'if it touches the line it counts' gaming with things like the .30 BR.

The 200yd HBR target rings aren't close enough together to hit two, and should actually make decent practice for longer range ranges. 100yd F-class is getting a little silly.

If you use "worst edge", you just encourage a different caliber choice (22 or 6mm I'd guess, but maybe 17 if you got creative/experimental? Might be fun to try to use heavy 17 caliber vlds.). Either way you do it, you're basically shooting BR on the ground at that point, which might have some appeal. For example, my home range (ENGC in Omaha), only has a few BR-quality benches, and they're limited to 100 yards. You can't really hold a proper BR match there.

It's not high power, but it might be fun.
