short range BR rifle balance point

Starting to build a 6br short range bench rifle.. Where should the balance point be ? When adding weight to the stock, where abouts should i be checking the balance ??

I liked mine best when the balance point was between the front of the action & one inch in front of the action. I used TMBR & Robertson Composites stocks. Another good way to do it is to match weight on front and rear bearing points. That will take a bit of rigging with the scale, etc because you want to simulate the rifle in the bags.
