Shooting Mats

I don't know if these are a valued item, but Midway has their "better" shooting mat on sale for Black Friday - $32.99 instead of $102.99. Cheap enough that with the $16 in shipping costs, it's still less than half price.

Yeah I've got one and I see more and more of them at matches. They are a good deal, even at the price I paid ($50 + S&H).

just got mine 3 weeks ago and paid $49.99 plus $20 shipping. It seems to be well made and it is padded nicely and have shot a match with it. No complaints yet

I would get some stakes to put on the front flap to keep it from trying to fly up in the wind. They have 2 holes in the flap with a metal washer in it for this purpose

I use mine all the time. In colder weather it has some memory from being rolled up. Have to let it lay flat for awhile till I get my equipment ready. I do keep two aluminum tent stakes and pin the fron edges down during matches

+ all above.

Have had mine for two years now and use it at least 3 times a month. Still in excellent condition.

You can not go wrong with it.

creedmore has theirs on sale as well, and is a much better mat in my opinon, for us sling/position shooters anyway.

I used a Dillon mat for quite a while. It is very stiff and has a black rubbery area up front that gets very hot in the sun. Also, my elbows used to get torn up even inside my heavy shooting coat.

For F-class, I went to a heavy piece of rubber-backed carpet with a hole in it for the bag. I put the rest on the turf out front. I like this setup. It is also waterproof which is nice in the morning when there is dew on the grass.

For service rifle and military bolt rifle, I bought a kid's area rug at Wal-Mart with Buzz LIghtyear and Andy on it. It is also rubber backed. It doesn't provide much padding, but it anchors me to the turf and doesn't squirm around. I shoot well enough that the kidding has stopped.

The Dillon will only get used when I do .22 position shooting on concrete.
