If you really want to have some challenging fun, spray a piece of white paper with some sugar water and staple it to your target board it. Your "targets" will soon show up, and you can track you hit % by the number of splats vs. total shots fired. I can amuse myself for hours with this little game!

My shooting partner and I were doing some load development with out Palma rifles one day, and a wasp landed on the target. I'm spotting and Dave says to me "do you see that wasp?" Yup, I reply. Are going to shoot it? Dave say, naaa I'm just going to wing it. Boom goes the .308 and my right hand to God, the wasp fell straight down to the ground! We walked down to the target and sure nuff, that wasp was missing it's right wing! Over the years, we had some great times.

First is a 10x on a IR50/50 target, took a great amount of patience waiting for him to walk over to the 10 ring.
Second was my first “double” the 2nd one walked over to see what happened to his buddy! 30BR during load tuning!

Fly shooting is the best!

This looks like way too much fun. Growing up, we would shoot dragon flies as they paused during flight. Our hit ratio wasn't too good but we sure had fun.

If you can find a way to attract and shoot horseflies you'll have a lot more opportunities to shoot. A whole new category of varminting perhaps

Or perhaps a target in the middle - blow flies on something like a strip of rotten chicken. Personally I like the blanket affect of throwing an insecticide bomb and shutting the door.

The one on the IR 50/50 target was a big ol horse fly, the double were just regular “house” flies.

Maybe we need to start a Fly Shooting Postal Match!
