wow, i finally got chance chance to sit down and write on this great forum on 6br.com again. the p. dogs are out in #`s here in WY. and i wish i had more time to go blasting them too. the time i do get to is very well spent with my 6br. i don`t think i could of found a better chamber ta do her. the 87gr v-max are my fist choice for LR and the nos. 70`s do great for the short range carnage. i`m glad i went with the 1:10 twist, since varmint bullets max at about 90gr`s it`s all i needed for a very accurate varmint gun. most places i shoot are not good to have a match bullet that will riccoche,or any other for that matter) and so far those two done well enough to keep using them. i guess while i`m on the subject i should bring up the thought of safety and the hope that all of us remember it when we send a 90+gr piece of copper and lead bouncing on the ground at 3000+ feet per second. out here in the S.Badlands it`s very easy to take for granted all the wide open space you,and me) got to shoot and even though it don`t seem like it, there are other people out there and a defected bullet can travel a long way`s.....Just a thought for those of you around A LOT of people. i mostly shoot prairie dogs, patch poodles) at one of the oil field`s i work at cause of the damage they do to the roads and locations i work around, not just that, i don`t want to work around i disease infested little fur balls. after i "thin them out a little" i`ll talk to the farmer`s who most the time would be glad to let you make there varmint problem dead, unless they`re some sort of earth muffin. either way, i do feel it`s much safer to not use a match bullets for varmints and i`m sure most of you do too. shoot safe!!!
