Shipping primed brass

Is it all good to ship primed brass. Im about to post a ad for some odd ball brass my father in law had and 800 of them are factory primed. Trying to help the mother in law out and selling bunch of reloading stuff i dont need for her.

They're considered ammunition. You can ship them via UPS, FEDEX etc but not USPS. Be sure to use a ORM-D label or the black diamond label.

You can ship ammo { primed brass] USPS. They will put a label on it . Just declare what is in the package. Just my two cects Tommy Mc

I would look at 1.4S and 1.4C before you do this (Cases, cartridge(s), empty with primer)....

I'm only aware of unprimed component brass, and unseated component bullets, as being legal to ship via USPS as far as any components of an ammunition cartridge are concerned much less loaded ammunition cartridges themselves. Plus, not every FedEx and / or UPS location will accept loaded ammunition cartridges or primed brass, only very specific ones, which can be found through information on the respective websites.

Gosh I’ll probably get run out of town for saying this during a huge shortage but were I in your position, I’d be real tempted to punch out the primers and sell the brass deprimed.

Actually not required for primed brass, but nothing wrong with doing so (no extra cost). I'm taking some today to UPS, and this summary covers what is required:
