Not sure where to put this so i will try here . is it legal for a private individual to ship a rifle to a ffl dealer in another state or must it be ffl to ffl.

please check with the receiving ffl as they have the option not to receive from a non-ffl. quite a few won't for business reasons.

i have shipped to smith's, gun dealers for GunBroker buyer pickup, but always call ahead to check the validity or willingness to recieve

If you do ship from private seller to FFL remember to include a legible
Copy of your Drivers license for the dealer to file in their records

It is legal for individual to ship to FFL dealer but check your local laws and freight carrier. I shipped from Ohio to NJ via UPS. Local UPS would not accept the package because it was a franchise. I had to go to corporate owned terminal and ship from there with copy of dealers license.

It is legal to ship a firearm to an FFL; even from beautiful California.
