Shilen 'Rachet Rifled' Barrels?

Anyone shot/shooting one of Shilen's "rachet rifled" 4-groove center-fire barrels? I shoot one on my .22RF rifle and it is as accurate as any barrel I've ever used. But, am wondering about one on center-fire rifle (6.5 or 7mm). Any experience to report?
Thanks.

I have a SS ratchet rifle in a 6mm 1 in 8" twist. Accuracy is top notch. Have 2 other CM shilen barrels, both 6.5mm 1 in 8" twist, that are exceptionally accurate as well. The CM shilens are on hunting rifles, but you can cover a 3 shot group at 300 yards with a quarter. Haven't shot the ratchet rifle barrel past 100 yards yet, but it shoots bug holes.

I'm on my third ratchet rifled Shilen barrel in 6BR. First was an 8-twist, last two are both 14-twist. All three shoot really well, especially if I do my part. Both of the 14-twists run EXACTLY the same load and have been accurate for 2000 rounds for the first (retired at 2K but it was still shooting) and 1800 so far for the second one. HTH

I bought one and the only difference I could find was it was slightly easier to clean than the Savage factory barrel it replaced. No difference in accuracy. It cost me more than $500 to find that out.
I would not buy a Shilen for a Savage large shank. They just add a bulge to a small shank so you can't cut them back when the throat wears out. Clever way to make you have to buy a new barrel.

Be wiser not to buy another Savage...lol
