can a dga action be used as a light varmint class rifle ,the stock is a shilen fiberglass that weights 2 lbs 2 onces.trigger guard is aluminum .scope rings are kelby and bases are aluminum also.scope is leapold from 1976 time frame.what do you think the barrel would be as far as dementions .caliber to e 6mm br.

I used a dga for lv yrs ago but don't recall barrel size. safe to say a hunter taper will get you from 5' 6 oz down to 4' 8 oz. stock seems heavy you can get quite a bit lighter

that's I can use a barrel that weights 5 lbs 6 oz to 4 lbs 8 oz if I read you right.

with a hunter taper you can get those weights, weigh all your components and get barrel weight from there

You have been asking the same question since 2015. I would think that in 8;years you could weigh everything less barrel and see how much your barrel can weigh.
