Arrived 7:30 at the property where I got three last week, two from under one of their storage sheds. Here's a picture of the property and the shed.
Fifteen minutes later I spotted a ghog in front of the shed. This time the 17 HMR was ready. When I found the hog in the crosshairs it was looking my way. I aimed right at its nose and pulled the trigger, but it felt like I went left. It went down, but started moving toward the shed so I put another in its shoulder. Right then it started porpoising itself into the air several times in a clockwise circle and almost made it back to where it was shot.
Here's the DRT and a close up of the first shot, right off the nose moving left. Took the left eye out.
Looks like this years litter. Probably an offspring of the large male and female from last week. I'll tell ya, those young ones sure have a strong will to survive!!
