While researching data for some 45 Colt shotshell loads, i found that the IMR line, red, green, blue, and target powders have been discontinued. Hodgdon is a real piece of work.

They are probably not big sellers. You can't blame them for discontinuing a powder if they are losing money on it. They are a business first and foremost. That's like people whining saying why doesn't Lapua make 30BR cases? DAH there would be no money in it that's why. It wouldn't make any sense from a business standpoint to make 30BR cases. This benchest crap makes up such a small percentage of their sales that a lot of people can't grasp that.

Perhaps, but they werent on the market long. Unequal, to my knowledge didnt even get to market. I kept looking for it and never did find any. I have red and target and they shoot great and clean

I’m not losing any sleep over them dropping those powders. I never used them, and never had any plans of using them. Now SR 4759? Pleeeease bring that back for my cast boolit loads!

I agree with your statement "Hodgdons a real piece of work." But not for the reason you stated but for the reason they don't make any powder, let alone manufacture any here in the USA..

Its all in what they can get. I guess they cant get that anymore
