A while back, noticed a flyer for my state's Senior Olympics and saw that they didn't have any shooting sports. I mentioned this to the president of my local club, who said we should look into it before the 2022 events get set. The other day I looked at my state's Senior Olympics website, which had no mention of shooting sports. This site had a link to the National Senior Games Assn. (NSGA) sports rules and there's no mention of shooting sports there, either.
Considering that shooting is an actual Olympic discipline (unlike Corn Hole or Pickle Ball) you'd think there would be some provision made for some shooting events, if only skeet. I wrote an e-mail to the state Senior Games POC but have not heard back yet.
Is this a conscious decision made by NSGA or just neglect? Does your state's Senior Games include any shooting sports? Trying to stir up some interest.
