If you don't like stories skip to the 2nd paragraph. I bought this rifle from a widow via a friend that was helping her sell her husband's stuff. I told him at my age I had no use for more heavy rifles. A month passes and he calls back saying the widow was having health issues and really needed money. He stated that he had fired it with an old 12x scope he had and it put 5 shots in an inch @200 yards. Further stated it was a Bartlein bbI. (My friend is a Pastor and High Master shooter.) I sent a $1400 check without asking questions. I fired it three times to check function and it worked fine. Trouble is I don't have space for it and it is way too heavy for a stand hunting gun for me. So I'm putting it up for sale and calling the difference between what I paid and what I get a donation to a good cause.
Remington 700 LH long with custom Bartlein heavy barrel, 27" long, in 6.5x55 Swede, 8" twist. Works good with Lapua brass and 142 Sierras. Believed to be very low round count, but I cannot attest to that. Believed to be a Stocky's laminated stock with action and floor plate bedded and a perfectly fitted 1" Pachmayer recoil pad. Weighs 12lb 7oz. Great shape overall.
Price is $1000 including all the reloading dies and brass pictured below.
Thank you for looking.
