Selling Springfield Armory NM M1A. low four-digit serial number. I believe it to be made in about 1974 in Devine, Tx. with oversized Kelvar reinforced McMillian stock. SA Scope mount ready for your optics. Many NM parts. Someone put in a rear lug.
I don't know who originally built it, but I shot it OTC for several years. In 2008 I sent it to Phil Arrington in Arizona for a rebarrel and rework. He installed a Douglas 1x10 barrel in .308. Returned with test target. Exactly 182 rounds since then. I don't think I've had it out of the bedding since 2008.
Haven't shot it in years and have moved on to other interests. Will sell with one unmarked 20rd mag. make sure it is legal to own in your state.
