How would you rate the Tikka T3 Tac A1 vs the Seekins HIT pro in 6.5 CM?
I am intereseted in those who have used them.
Thanks
Bill

My "Lefty" T-3 X, 24 inch ( NON- Fluted ) Tikka shoots, ELD-X's @ 2735 FPS ( for Hunting, Deer, Antelope, Elk ) into, Sub 5/8 th's MOA with, Minimal Load work up and, 130 grain, ELD-M's @ 2,800 FPS, Sub 1/2 MOA with a little Bit of, Bullet / Powder Chg.,.. "Tuning" ! *The 130 grainer's, are my MAIN,.. L R Steel Practice / Predator Load.

I've added, a Kydex, Cheek Riser , a LimbSaver recoil Pad, a 6x-24x 50 MM Vortex Viper, Scope, a PVA Jet blast 3 Port Brake and, an Elay Precision, Trigger Spring set at, a smooth, Crisp 1.25 lbs. to, this Rifle.
It's a Sweet shooting, controlable LOW recoil, Fun, accurate,.. 6.5 Creedmoor,.. Now !
I've gotten group's, into the low .3's with, the 130's,.. WHEN, I can "Do", my Part.
I'd Bet that, the T-3 TAC would "do" at least, as good OR,. Better,.. accuracy wise

Thanks, do you have 20moa base on top of the factory 0 moa?
NO it's not needed, as I have, a 30 MM Scope with,.. LOTS of, Travel.
I Zero at, 200 Yards and can Dial to, 1,000 yds,.. with, NO Problem.
I use Weaver, slotted Bases ( Loctited down ) , on this, Rifle with, Burris Steel, Zee Rings and, a Holland, Bubble Level. I DO Use, a 20 MOA One piece, Picatinny Base, on my 6 xc Rem 700 Action,, tho

I have not yet shot a Seekins rifle, but I have shot plenty of Tikkas and I have yet to see a factory rifle of any type or make out shoot one. Here is a picture of a group I shot with a bone stock factory Tikka T3 hunter. No trigger spring, no bedding no nothing, just loaded up some rounds, mounted a scope and went to the range with it.

Tikka TAC A1 6.5 creed and two different lots of factory Norma 143 target using some target that only had one hole in it. Loose red dot groups are testing two lots (2+1 groups), no tuner, brake, or can. All 5 shot groups. I put a tuner on it and the three center groups are with tuner. Top one I just screwed it on and still at 0 (that works), the other lot at 0 is the bottom(no go), I tried 4(better) and that's the one in the middle.

It was shooting one ragged hole until recently so I chono'd to verify it had sped up (it did) and then used the tuner to see if it would pull it back in. I'd say that's a yes. I had the same issue with my handloads, so I loaded up a short ladder to see if lowering the charge will pull it back in (without tuner) and will check that this weekend. Apparently the tuner was worth the purchase if only to simply check if the issue is harmonics.

Anyhow, yeah for a factory rifle it shoots pretty nice and I have yet to meet anyone with a Tikka that has seen otherwise. All the folks I know of with the TAC A1, they all shoot one ragged hole or better, regardless of caliber.

5 shot groups below before speedup, same factory ammo or maybe when I was working up handloads.

What kind of tuner are you using?

That's an Arken EP5 5-25 that I got with a combo pack when they had a code to get it for free? 34mm Rigid Precision Mount - 20 MOA 1.5" (the EP5 is a brick, but it holds zero fine so I leave it on it)

I wanted a tuner that I could screw on behind my can, the cap, or a brake. If you don't have any shims, order a shim kit as you'll it for anything where the barrel threads have a relief.
Adaptive Tuning System (ATS) - SLIMLINE / HUNTING - 5/8x24 Threads - Black Nitride × 1

The bipod is a GRS Bipod & Adapter Set, however note that top mounting requires milling one more slot at the end of the forearm which I just got my local machine shop to do. Love this setup.

I have a full length arca rail under it. Be warned, between the rifle and the scope it's heavy.

I should say if I was a right hand shooter, there's lots of really nice offerings in the same price range and that Seekins is a nice setup. I've read more than a few posts where people really like em. Being a lefty it's limited but a lot better than just a couple years ago for offerings.

If I was on the market for a factory gun it would be a seekins hit pro. I have a buddy who works at euro optic and he brought one over my place one day to shoot and it was NICE. Felt like a custom rig, very heavy barrel and a great action.

Never played with a tikka but I will give the nod to the seekins. Its what I recommend to everyone who wants a precision gun for not a custom price.
