Seekins Havoc Hit question

I purchased this rifle 6 months ago, and have never fired it. I bought it because I saw it on the cover of Guns and Ammo sometime ago, and for some reason I bought it from EuroOptics.
This rifle is HEAVY!! Way too heavy for my taste. I'm also really not into the chassis design. (I know you ask just why did you buy it then)..
I think it was winter at that time here in Western Pennsylvania, and my SS check,(and Pension) just cleared the bank.
So I gave EuroOptics a CC number, and two days later it was at my gunstore.
My question is this...
I know if I took off the stock and weighed it would solve this question I am about to ask
So how much does the chassis stock weigh on this rifle?
I am seriously considering replacing the chassis stock with something much lighter, and also more conservative. I am being told that this rifle will accept a stock with the 700 footprint.
Let me know your thoughts, and hopefully an answer to my questions.

I have a Seekins Havak Bravo rifle (now discontinued model) which weighed a little over 10 pounds. This was with the KRG Bravo stock and no scope or rings. Now with scope, rings, Atlas bipod and buttstock weight it weighs 15 1/2 pounds. Not certain it would fit your HIT model however Seekins could tell you.

There are no aftermarket stock options for the Havak HIT currently. It uses a proprietary inlet that is multi-flat with recoil lug integrated into the chassis rather than the action. You are stuck with the factory chassis unless you can get a stock custom inletted. I asked Manners and they told me they do not offer the HIT inlet and do not plan to.
Hope this helps.
