Seekins bottom metal replacement?

I am looking at a Remington short magnum rifle with a Seekins bottom in a Manners stock. I am not into a magazine that extends below the rifle as that is the natural carry point. Is there a replacement bottom metal that will fit without having too much gap and be unsightly? Thanks. Tom ???

All the AICs bottom metals will have that problem. HS-Precision with the 4-round magazine is the only alternative I am aware of beside the standard Remington BDL. Regarding any gaps, just have your gunsmith fix that with bedding material like marine tex.

With Seekins DBM's it will be much less of a gap L to R than with other's like the Badger M5. Seekins current system uses his proprietary mags which are true single stack and much thinner. I don't know exactly how much of a gap you will have on the length because my stock with Seekins DBM is out with my new build up.

I know seekins is also coming out with the DBM that is going to use AICS Magazines. The last I heard they should be done shortly.

Seekins website has a print with the inlet. Compare that to stock bottom metal

Your looking at about 1/16" gap on both sides. And about 1/16" gap on the ends. But if you can/or know someone who can do a bedding job, you may be able to fill the gap and make it almost un-noticable.
