Seeing my heart beat move criss hairs .... question.....

Getting old with shaky hands is a curse.
Yep.
Thank <whatever you believe in> for f-class and bench!

Offhand is psychological torture watching the gun jump everywhere but the center.
Even sling prone is frustrating.

I'm well into my 70's and I can't get a steady conventional hold anymore. So for both F-class and Bench Rest I try to influence the gun as little as possible. I pinch the trigger between my index finger and thumb by placing my thumb either on the aft face of the trigger guard or in the stock thumb hole. No other part of my right hand touches the gun.

After adjusting the rest/bipod so that the POA is just a tad low, I use my left index and middle finger to push down on the stock so as to slightly compress the rear bag and raise scope cross hairs just enough to center it on the target aim point. The butt is close to my shoulder but not actually touching.

It should be noted that this technique works well with heavy, low-recoil target guns like my .223 Rem F-TR rig and my 600 yard 6mm BR Norma F-Open rig. The slightly heavier recoil of my 6.5mm Creedmoor forces me to position my shoulder closer to the stock butt, but I still don't actually grip the gun. In other words, approximating free recoil is how I cope with the problem.

I'm working on stopping my heart using a Zen mind trick and I can do that for as long as 20 seconds, but poor eyesight and rather slow my aiming procedure takes so long that I black out before I can pull the trigger. As luck would have it, once I lose consciousness, my heart re-boots and starts beating again all by itself.............................. so far.

Just a guess, but having high blood pressure might well make heartbeat transference more pronounced. In fact I'm fairly sure it would.
