Secrets to loading 5.7x28?

I heard the coating on the outside of the brass had something to do with reloading this.
I could use some HELP on this.

The coating is mainly for the PS-90 rifles. If you dont have one of them, you are fine. If you do, tumble in corncob for a minute or two just to get the main grime off.

Go slow on powder. 4.5 gns can be fine. 4.8 can pop primers.

Powder around the HS-6 burn rate is the easiest to work with.

Lots of the older brass has crimped/staked primers which is a pain unless you have a Dillon 1100/1050.

My Grandson has an FN pistol and all the brass is FN. It was suggested by another guy if we used our steel pin tumbler that it would function fine.
thanks

i’ve loaded a few thousands of 5.7 with hs-6 and 7.5 rem primers. biggest deal is to make sure you trim the brass. 5.7x28 brass tends to stretch a lot, esp compared to straight walled pistol cartridges.
