Seating stem problem 123 gr scenars Redding 6.5 x 47L

When I lower the ram the bullet is being “grabbed” by the seater stem with a jerk feeling. I ran it in a Dremel tool and no difference and leaves ring on bullets...the Redding VLD stem makes no difference. Anyone else loading this bullet in a Redding die? Ideas?

Reduce your neck tension, is this new brass by any chance, it can have very tight necks + dip the first couple of bullet points in graphite dust , helps them slip out of the seater, its easy to damage the seater stems if there is excessive neck tension.

I'm still newish to reloading. I had something similar when loading new brass early on. When I bought another lot of 6.5 creedmoor and grendel brass I used dry lube for the neck and a 21st century expander die body with a .262 expander. Much better. So, like buddy said I think that it was a neck tension issue.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, this is new Lapua Brass which I resized and ran a mandrel through...I’ll ck my neck tension the next chance I get. I usually try to run .001 - ...002. Maybe I am off...I will also try the graphite...good idea
