Seating depth

I have a new 6.5-284 , I'm using 140 grain JLK's. The bullets have a bearing surface of .422 , seating my bullet to touch the lands only .150 of the bullet bearing surface is in the case neck which has a length of .282. I know I really don't have an option but .150 doesn't seem like very much bearing surface in the neck. Am I concerned over nothing or is it a problem? Once again 40 years of this and I still have questions. I think I used to know the answers but I have forgotten if I knew!!! JVON

That won't hurt anything. I prefer to only use a portion (3/4) of the neck to avoid any donut build up. You are fine.

Yep...welcome to the wonderful world of aging. I've encounter the same issue so I write things down now (in greater detail) for each caliber as the numbers have turned to mush over the years. But as Immike said, you're just fine.
