Search function not working

I've tried to search the forums for a couple of weeks now and the search function is working? What gives?

Yes, I've not been able to find "new posts" since last visit either, nothing comes up.

Just did a test on this end.

1. NEW POSTS Request

Clicking on New Posts worked. Returned new posts almost instantly with a Cable connection. If you haven't been on the site for a while it may be that too many posts were returned.

2. Search Function

I did a search for "Chambering". Search function worked, but it was very slow. I'll bring this up with the company that supplies the hosting and software.

FYI, we have a problem with common words like "bullet" "rifle", even "berger". If the search encounters too many returns it just gives up.

This is one reason why we have committed to moving the Forum to a new host and software package in the months ahead. This has to be done carefully, but it should provide a faster Forum with better search functionality.

Re "New Posts" problem, you might try refreshing your page, and if that doesn't work, try dumping your browser cache.

Nothing comes up for "new posts".

I dumped the cache, no change.

Is it just me?

The New Posts link works for me every time I've tried it. Searching on cartridges or bullets is pretty much worthless, 6BR, 243, 6XC, 260, etc won't work because they're too short.
