Sealing Composite Stock

I need just a little more height from my adjustable cheekpiece. Thus, I am going to be lightly sanding out the front area for additional bolt throw relief.

This is a composite stock cheekpiece with molded in color I believe. Not sure if I will try and paint the area when done. I am more concerned about sealing the area so it doesnt wear.

Wondering what folks would finish off a composite stock with after sanding? Clear epoxy?

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

When i ordered my Kelblys stock they said they will send a color match kit with it for where i have to cut the bolt handle slot and loading port. So i agree gunsandgunsmithing and check with the stock manufacturer .
