Screw on funnel for 8# Hodgdon jugs?

I took a 1# powder can, and cut the bottom off. Then I drilled a 1/2" hole in the steel lid.

Been using it to funnel powder from 8#ers into 1# cans for 15 years. Works perfect!

I cut a plastic soda bottle a couple inches above the screw on cap. Powder runs quickly through the large opening. You can use the 20 oz. soda bottle or for a larger funnel, the 3 liter.

I use funnel obtained at the auto parts store for changing oil, the spout fits in the opening of the std 8lb jug just about perfect.

I bet somebody like boltfluter would make something like this. or call somebody like area 419- it would be a seller like having a pour spout on a whiskey jug.

next time you have an empty jug save the lid and get a plastic funnel from harbor freight or wherever. A Hogdon 8 lb jug has a 2 1/2 inch diameter top. drill holes in the lid or just cut off the threads of the lid. Cut the funnel off with a hack saw or heavy scissors so that it is about 3 to 3 1/2 inches the get some epoxy putty and introduce the lid to the funnel. Scuff the plastic before gluing to get a good bond

Or change to larger capacity cartridges...

17cal onto a 1lb jug aught to be near a 17-bmg for velocity right?
