Score one for the good guys

Woo Hoo!!!! Those boys messed w the wrong Texan.
I'm very curious and would like to read the after action report.

I'm on board with using deadly force against home invaders but sure wouldn't want to go through what the home owner will be subjected to now. Any scum bag that breaks into someone's house deserves what the home owner dishes out. It used to be said that if you shoot someone it better be inside your house. If he is on the outside you are in trouble. In a WI concealed carry permit class the instructor said that a citizen has the right to shoot to stop the threat when your life is being endangered by anyone. I sure hope this home owner is not jailed and or faced with lawsuits against him.

This case will go before the grand jury, and in all probability, nothing will happen to the home owner. The homeowner would be wise to have council and that is never cheap.
If this was some sort of drug deal gone bad.....well, that will be another story.

Here is the liberal response to the break-in: "Hi guys! I know that you are oppressed, taken in by "the system" and really need understanding"! "So how may I help you"? Whilst they are kicking his ass>>"Hey why are you treating me like this? I am a liberal and I sympathize with your oppressed condition"! Well he ends up in the hospital, all his valuables gone and he is left speechless!!

Conservative Texan response: Bang, bang, bang, bang! "Now Mr. Coroner, please get this debris out of my house"! House in tact, he is in good shape and still in possession of his valuables! Need we say more?

Ol boy was just sentenced to 30 days in jail for shooting at a home invader here in Josephine county.
I believe they charged him with unlawful use of a weapon.
WTF!!!!
Are we supposed to open the door invite them in to clean us out and not protect our homes n property?
Remember this: Liberals L-O-V-E criminals far more than the victims the criminals hurt! By making an attempt to protect yourself, you, BY GOD, are jeopardizing the health and well being of the criminal! How dare you place him in harms way when you could place yourself in harms way by NOT defending yourself! You have to be punished for placing the poor, oppressed, maligned criminal in danger!

I think here in WY you'd want all your spent casings and most of the bodies inside your house if this happened. You don't want to hop out the front door and dust the get away driver too for good measure.
If history has taught us anything, (OJ Simpson) a civil suit is always possible. I'd hope he stands a great chance with LE on this.

We just had three home invasion/homicides in the region, the last less than two miles away from me. The news/sheriff are reminding people to keep their doors locked, lights on outside, etc. No mention of keeping a loaded weapon close by. Was at a customer house yesterday morning and she had her revolver nearby just in case (she is from Texas). I may start wearing the 1911 around the house to be at the ready, seconds could mean the difference of how it turns out.

If welfare checks and EBT cards don't get filled at the end of the month because of this gov shutdown, you may be in for a "Snapocalypse". I plagiarized that one, lol

I,m pretty sure in Texas you can use deadly force to protect your property as well as to protect yourself. Unless that law has changed. there was a special on TV some years back about how dangerous it was to be in the car repossession business there. Quite a few tow truck drivers kept getting shot at.

Down here in Florida we have the castle Law that allows you to protect youself . It's been tested in court a few times and basically requires retreat first .

In Texas the "Castle Doctrine" has yet to be FULLY established! Several years ago a guy named Joe Horn, took a shotgun, WHILE HE WAS ON THE PHONE with the Pasadena P.D., and went NEXT DOOR and confronted 2 burglars. Out in the front yard where the confrontation transpired, Joe promptly killed them! He was never charged because of the "Castle Doctrine"! The reason I say in Texas it has not been FULLY established is because the Castle Doctrine NOW extends AT LEAST to the neighbors house! Where will it "end"? That is why it is NOT fully established. It may extend to ANYONE at ANYTIME in ANY neighborhood that "protects" a fellow citizen's house and or contents! Sooner or later some line will be drawn>>>but as of yet it is not... Gotta LOVE Texas!!

I'm with ya here.
I'd much rather see our tax dollars going to our armed forces and border security.

So I got a text today from a fella who use to live out here in the Illinois Valley that we were going to bread our female rotti with his male.

Dean wrote
I'm up in Washington now, my home was invaded. I was bashed in the head shot twice and cut up real bad.
WTF!!!
Dean said he's doing better now.

Usually bad things happen VERY FAST leaving little time for the defender to think, let alone go get his gun. Thus the importance of having your tool on you with one in the pipe and just as important is training.
IPSC / USPSA / IDPA and the like are probably one of the best training anyone can do and have fun at the same time !
Having fun at the range doing weird shooting drills is better than nothing.

I'd say it's pretty well established here in Texas. About 10 or 12 years ago an off duty cop walked out of a bar with his GF in Austin, found a guy sitting in his GF's car, put a gun to his head and killed him. Said afterward that the burglar threatened to shoot him, although no gun was found at the scene. Cop was neither charged nor disciplined. A few months later a guy with a CCP walked out to his car to find a burglar rifling through it, chased the guy several blocks before finally shooting him dead. He WAS charged and tried, but the jury acquitted him of all charges. I don't believe he ever faced a civil lawsuit.

A few years back my kids bought me a T-shirt with an image of an old west Peace Maker 45 revolver overlaid on an outline of the state of TX, and the words, "We don't dial 911". Wore it in a visit back to Ca one summer, you should'a seen strange looks I got.

Needless to say, I had a good time.:p

Update: The suspect was just arrested on burglary/ immigration charges, and appears to be evidence linking him to all four homicides.
