Scopes to look for?

Needs some advice here. Basically I'm looking for some scopes to look for in the used market.
Features I want are
Basic mil dot reticle
Good tracking
30mm tube preferred
Turrets
At least a 3-12
Adjustable objective
Bonus: mil turrets
Preferably under $200-300
Most current scopes are just really over engineered for what I want and I don't want to meet around with a bunch of rebranded crap so I'm goin to possibly start looking on the used market. So any recommendations for what I should be looking for ?

Another one to look at is Athlon for some reasonable pricing and pretty good quality and glass.
or my fav the Sightron line of optics.

I have a S Tac 4x20x50 SFP. The glass isn't that great. Instead of being sharp/crisp it's what I would call dull - no sharp colors. The S Tac line runs from under $300 to $500+. Some of the FFP models might be better.

I just bought a Sightron SIII 6x24x50 mil, with zero stop on sale to try for $499.

Stac would be my suggestion too. I also have a FFP Mil Mil Vortex Diamondback Tactical that meets your specifications

.might need another Benjamin though

I would keep my eyes open for a SWFA 3-15x44. It has a 30mm tube, its MIL/MIL, has good turrets, and is FFP. The glass is quite a bit better than the scopes listed above and it's built like a tank compared to the others. You might have to pay a little bit more but it will be worth it. Or you can go with one or their fixed power scopes in 8x, 10x, 16x and you could get one new in your price range.

Not sure what you intended use is or what you're putting it on, but it is right in your price range. I have 2 Tract Torics which are higher priced scopes and nothing but high praise for. When Tract came out with these 22 Fire I pre ordered one just to see how it would stack up to the Toric but at 1/3 the price. In my opinion these are exceptional scopes for this price range. It went on my Sako Quad 22LR. Very happy with this purchase. It's a keeper.

22 FIRE 4-12X40 AO Extended Focus Range T-PLEX Dot Rimfire Rifle Scope

This NEW 22 FIRE 4-12x40 scope features an Adjustable Objective providing an Extended Focus range allowing the scope to focus from 10 meters to infinity. The T-Plex Dot reticle features a fine crosshair with a .25" Dot (at 50 yards on 12x) allowing precise placement of the reticle on typical competitive rimfire targets making this a perfect choice for competitive rimfire shooting.
IN STOCK
$274.00

I completely agree with what varminthunter1 said and would broaden that opinion a little and say that any used Sightron that can be picked up at a reasonable price is like money in the bank. When you take into account the build quality and excellent customer service they really are great optics. Like others have said we really are lucky to have all the quality choices we have available to us.

Geez sorry everyone haven't gotten a notification from this post in like two weeks and forgot about it o_O:oops: completely my fault

What will you be using it for mostly?
Honestly just going in .22lrs for doing longer range pest control and some buddy guns that I can use when peoel wanna come with me and learn the basics of shooting a little longer distance. Honestly most of the times where just trying to pop soda cans @100-200yd but people like learning dialing and basic hold overs .

If you can pick up a used Sightron that fits your magnification needs in your price range, you will not be disappointed. You want something that hits the low range for close up work. The more magnification in the high end, the better.

Also if you can find one {sometimes on ebay) an older Burris
8-32x44 with a "peep plex", I would definitely recommend one. I have 3.
They are rugged, bright, and that peep plex is medium fine crosshairs with a very small
peep circle in the middle that allows the shooter to see the target completely without
being partially blocked by crosshairs.
Good scopes.
