Hello,
Can someone tell me where i can find a person/firm who can paint a scope.somebody who knows what he is doing.
Thanks

If it's a Leupold, their Custom Shop will do a baked Teflon finish for $125 or $150 for Camo. Ten colours to choose from and covered by their lifetime warranty.

I asked them and they will also do steel rings and bases to match the scope for an additional cost.

Not particularly cheap but I'm sure the quality would be befitting of an OEM finish.

they refinish scopes and other items.

Editor's Note: Darrell Jones had his Nightforce finished in Silver by Spradlin's and they did a nice job. See photos: http://www.6mmbr.com/gunweek013.html

"The Saga of the Silver Nightforce
The Nightforce NXS Extreme 12-42x56 with NP-2 reticle was the challenge. I wanted a silver scope. I spoke with Jeff at Nightforce to ask if there was any way that they could special build me one. His response was negative but he hinted that they could possibly do something if I bought direct with them. However, he eventually declined when pressed. Since I already had the scope, I asked some of my friends on another web site where I could have one refinished and was told Spradlin's in Colorado. I called Jim at Spradlin’s and he informed me he worked on many brands of scopes including Leupold and maintained their warranty. He assured me he could handle the job. I sent the scope along with a check for $100.00 and received the NXS back in three weeks finished as you now see it. I was very pleased with the silver coating and Jim's work exceeded my expectations."

Thanks,
The scope would be a Nightforce 12x42x56 with ch-2 reticle.

this scope would be nice for Benchrest,i think.
Somebody experience with the Nightforce for Benchrest.
Thanks

whatever you do dont use spradlins!!! they use a finish that comes off quite easy. i had 2 of my leupolds done from gloss to matt and i had to resend both of them back a total of 3x. the finish had marks as if it was packed still wet. when i called them on it they said it was either damaged from shipping or when i mounted it. well all i did was open the package. as for the box it was solid foam 3 in thick. they refused to reinburse my shipping when really pissed me off since it was there mistake. save you money and do it yourself. KG coating is coming out w/a scope paint soon. there products are awesome ive used the gunkote for a while
