Can anybody tell me their experience about leupold 24x40 varmint/target I have an opportunity to buy one,I need your help guys.I Will be using it to punch paper up to 300 yards.thanks,roly

I have a Weaver T-24x40, with a 1/8 min dot, adjustable objective, that I have used one time
to shoot p-dogs. I found that it is more power than I need. Brings up a lot of
mirage. To me it just didn't seem to be very clear. It might be great for shooting
paper though. Am going to sell or trade it. Should make someone a great target
scope.

For varminting a variable is way ahead so you can dial down with conditions.A variable for paper punching can be very useful to dial back slightly so your eyes can take a break.
