scope with good turret adj

I picked up a new Savage model 10T in 6,5 CM, looing to put a scope on for long range shooting, i have 2 Sightron SIII 8x32x56 on my 6BR and a 6,5x284, i really done want to spend 800-900 dollars on a scope for this gun, i want to stay at 6x24 power, what are good choices of scopes in the power range with target turrets, that have reliable clicks and at least 60" of elevation adj.

Leupold VX3 6.5-20X40 LR. Over 100 moa in the turret and great reliability in the field.

That is a SFP scope, and if you plan on using the reticle for wind and elevation holds it will give you problems. For hunting and tactical type of shooting I would no longer consider a SFP. I have the SIII 6-24 FFP and it has reliable turrets, and great optical quality for the price which you can get for around $700 unless something has changed.

No issues with wind calculation in the S-TAC 4-20. Shot at 770 with about 20 mph wind. Right on using the moa reticle at max power. ( Which is the only way to run the sfp scopes with mil or moa reticle). Use the turrets for elevation so can't say. Guessing it's the same tho.

I spoke with Tom Leatherberry at Vortex and they are coming out (in Jan.) (with the Gen 2 PST 5-25 scope (other magnifications also) and hey are supposed to be be completely re-done. A much better scope than previous model is what I was told. I had two PSTs and I did NOT care for them but the new models are supposed to be great-so I have been told. The reticle looks great to me. They cost about $900. It might be worth a look JMO

I also recently purchased the the S-TAC 4-20x50 for a .22 lr trainer rifle, specifically because of the low (~10 yd) parallax adjustment, which isn't possible on any of the NF scopes I currently own. This is my first Sightron and I have to say I am very impressed with its quality; glass, turrets, features, reticle, all are very well thought out and executed. I would use this scope on an F-Class rifle without hesitation if it had about 10-12X more magnification. I have not looked through Sightron's S-III or S-V scopes for comparison.

I understand that the SIII has better glass but can't confirm. My S-TAC is all the quality I'll ever need for what I do. Wish they made an IR in that same 4-20 S-TAC scope.

i am looing for opinions on reticle choices that come on the Sightron Stac in 4x20x50 scope there is the moa and the duplex, since i will be using it for hunting groundhogs and some target shooting, which would be the better choice

Just bought the 6-24x50 PST FFP and it's a beaut. Shoulda waited though maybe.

Vortex PST is a nice scope. Much more money than the S-TAC but nice. Good luck.
Oh yeah, it's a keeper for sure. I'm shooting an LRPV RBLP Savage 12 in 223 and holding .25-.50 groups at 100 yards. Old scope was totally different. I lean towards a fine CH and my Nikons were way to fat for detail work. BTW, after the discounts my PST was less than the S-TAC's I'm seeing.
