scope stand

I am looking to purchase a scope stand for fclass shooting. I will mainly use it for scoring so I will need to get two extra rods. I am looking at the polecat from Creedmoor sports. Question is what diameter rods should I get, I think the 3/4 would be good enough. Is there any reason to go to the 1 inch stand?

It depends on how large your scope is. If you have one of the 821 Kowa's, then the 1 inch stand is more stable with that heavier wt. and larger profile in the wind.

I have a Creedmore 3/4" and I also have a Zeiss tripod. I live in a very windy part of the country. Western Nebraska. Due to wind I usually take the Zeiss. Much more stable. Especially when looking at bullet holes. Creedmore shakes a lot. In windy conditions I don't think a 1" Creedmore more would be any better.
