scope rings and bases for Sako BR. 6PPC?

Hello everyone.

I just bought an older Sako 6PPC USA. It has a "B" series receiver B375. I am a little confused on what rings/bases will fit this? Standard Sako optilock? It has 1" rings and bases now but ideally I would like to get 2 pic bases for it if possible. Anyone have a direction to point me in?

Thanks!
Matt

Here are some pics of the setup it sports now:

I have a S491 Sako 22PPC that came with Optilock bases and rings, but without the plastic insert. I bought some NOS Weaver aluminum bases that slide in the Sako Dovetail so I could use standard rings. If you are interested in the Sako Optilocks send me a PM as I don't need them and was going to sell the 22PPC soon, anyway.

What size are your rings? I have not decided on a scope yet but I am sure it will be 30mm tube with a 42-50 objective.
Bases like this is what I am looking for so I can run appropriate height badger rings or something similar.

Having never dealt with a Sako before I am not sure if these will fit or not? Are all Sako dovetail the same?

Thanks again!

On my Sako BR I have talley's but that is mainly because when I bought the rifle they came with it. They seem to work very well.
All my other Sako's are topped with Optiocks, I really like them. I would have them on the BR, but the talleys work well so I have just kept them.

Edit** I just re-read the OP. Yes standard optilocks will work on your "B" numbered PPC. The small action ones.

I have a Sako 22ppc single shot that came with Opilock rings but no inserts and I cant seem to find just that part. I purchased the Weaver bases #65 front and #67 rear that slide on the dovetail and then tap on and use the set screw to hold. I put a small shim of copper under set screw to not mat the finish. Really like this setup better as you can use standard Weaver style rings or clones.
