If you need to know which height of rings that you want. Have the bases you will be using mounted on the rifle and stack pennies on top of base front and rear while holding your scope on top of Pennie’s till you reach the height that you like. Measure the height of one of the stack of Pennie’s with a caliper and now you know the height of ring needed from top of base to bottom of scope and you can pick an appropriate set from this measurement. Hope this makes sense for you. I measure all my rifles for rings like thisI have a march highmaster 10x60x34x56 i would like to mont on my 2500x action muller .900 barrel for benchrest shooting i dont want the scope to lay to close to the barrel so i can use scope caps.
