Scope repair

A couple of years ago I bought a scope from a vendor at our range. He had private labeled it. He told me that it was made specifically for him from Kowa components. He has since passed away and my scope needs repair. I do not know the manufacturer. Does anyone know a scope repair person that may work on this scope or are they all manufacturer specific?

Hi Oneflyer,

Try to recall all the information that was involved with your scope purchase.
The following link might prove helpful;

I briefly looked into Kowa and, unfortunately, did not find any current proof they made rifle scopes.
If you find any physical information on your scope, that might prove helpful.
Of course, detailed photos posted here might find you more information.

Cheers,

I'm not saying that it is a Kowa scope, the guy I purchased from SAID it was made with Kowa components. True??? I don't know. The windage and elevation adjustments don't work. They move to one side and stay there. There is a noticeable "stop" in the middle of the adjustment. It appears to be stuck at that place. I don't want to send it to Kowa but to someone that may repair any name scope. Know anyone?

My guess is that it ain't worth fixin this scope of unknown heritage. You are probably going to sink more $$$ in it than it is worth. Take your loss and buy a new
scope.

PS - Kowa makes top of the line spotting scopes; don't think they ever made rifle scopes. Call them. They might recommend a repair facility.

I had that sinking feeling myself. Thought I'd give it a try if there was someone out there that worked on knock offs.
