Scope recommendations for 22lr

I am purchasing my first 22lr and intend to use it for 50m/100m benchrest. As for the scope, I am looking closer at Sightmark Latitude 10-40x60. What do you think?

Butch, I could. In theory. Being located in Europe add cost of shipping+applicable VAT rate + customs fees. No to mention ITAR- opticsplanet or any responsible seller won't ship any such scope to Europe. On Secondary market in Europe you have Schmidt Bender, Kahles, Meopta, Leica, Steiner. Even used quality scope with >25 maginfication would be more expensive than a new Sightmark.

You could easily walk across our border and buy it here. Our President is going to pay each illegal alien $450,000 USD.

I see that Optics Warehouse have the fixed power Sightron in stock for 400 quid. Or go mad and get the 10-50, which will set you up for anything. The Sightmark looks like a generic asian scope, rebranded by them.(could be wrong) If you want to save some cash the Falcon 10-50X LR is a good bet - good warranty, Japanese made, also 1/8 moa. The company is UK based (Stafford) and do answer emails promptly.

I agree that for bench work I'd use a fixed power. I have 24X and 36X and prefer the 24. As the light fades in the afternoon the 36 gets dark too, also mirage is a bigger issue for me with the 36. My scopes are Weavers so take this with a grain of salt.

I have a 42 power NightForce Competition. If you can find one of these for sale, get it right away. It is a phenomenal scope on my Anschutz 64 MPR. I have no idea why NightForce discontinued this scope. Bad mistake! BAD MISTAKE! On my Bergara I am planning on installing a 40 power Leupold that I have. I'm going to see how that works out. Oh, by the way the 64 MPR and the NightFroce 42 power were bought by me thanks to President Trump's people bucks. Thank you President Trump!

Is it on par with Vortex GE?
There have been some threads on accurateshooter.com about this very question.
See, for example,

Sorry I didn't weigh in on this sooner, but if you are considering a Sightron, you owe it to yourself to call Buchanan Accuracy at 870-213-6897 or 870-269-8866. His prices and service are outstanding, and he's a heck of a good guy as well. Very fast delivery as well.
I bought my last Sightron there (I have 4) and only wish I'd found him sooner.
