Scope parallax adj

i have purchased quite a few scopes over the years, but i am curious about the Parallax adjustments, last week i purchased a new scope. i notice at the range when i adj for moving my head up and down it is fine, but when i move my head side to side it is not good, i have never notice this on my other scopes, is this common what i am experiencing with this new scope,

Make sure you are not touching the scope with your cheek when checking for parallax. Typically, if it has no parallax in the vertical plane, the horizontal should be nil also.
