Scope Mount(s) for Savage 12 F-class

My father is away on vacation, and he left me with a very simple task (right!). I was told to find good quality mounts for his Savage 12 F-Class. I haven't done any work with savages before, so I don't know what works and what doesn't. In a little bit of study time I've come up with Benchsource mounts, but is there anything better?

Will Aluminum be sturdy enough for a 6.5x284 that is used in F-class?
Who makes the best mounts?
Picatinny or not?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

go to sinclair and look at mike farrell bases and rings great quality use on my savage 12. Has standard and 20 moa bases available

go with source. i have had a bench source mount on my 6br now for three years. have never had any problems. gun holds zero great. and customer service is the best.

My vote goes to Ken Farrell. Very nice mounts and rings. I picked up a pair of his rings to try and they look amazing. I've got a few 20MOA mounts from him.
