scope looks canted

im newer to prs and i have several scoped rifles and its the same issue on all so im pretty positive its something im doing. i level the rifle and i do the flashlight thru them to a white wall with the plumb line. there all level but when i get prone behind them when the reticle looks level to me the bubble shows its not and when the level shows good the reticle looks canted to me. im sure its the way im setting up behind the rifle or something causing me to pull the rifle like that. any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance

It is probably the way that you are setting up, what feels comfortable is not really plumb. For a convenient reference, when I post my targets I set the target stand and then I use a level and pen to draw a horizontal line on the backer and line the top of my target up with that. That way I have good level and plumb references while looking through the scope.

so are you leveling your scope to your rifle or what looks level to you? or are you changing your setup till everything squares up

I have a level that fits the top of my bag. This levels the rifle. Now I use this tool when stapling my target. Slip it behind your target and staple your target. You can now adjust your scope.

When you level the scope on the rifle with the plumb bob, is the bubble level also level? A picture of the rifle with how the bubble is attached may help.
