scope for cooper model 21 6mm ppc

I just bought a used cooper in 6mm ppc and would appreciate opinions as to what scope to put on it. I know this is an often asked question, but please bear with me. I have a budget of around $1K.This is a nice light rifle and I wouldn't want to put something heavy on it. I plan on using it in the field for varmints, not competition. So if you have any suggestions I would like to hear them. Thanks, Ron.

I have a Leupold VX-3 6.5-20X40 LR with the varmint reticle in it that was just taken off a Cooper 21 Phoenix. This was a .204 caliber used strictly for p-dogs and a little target shooting. Let me know if you are interested and we can discuss price.

Thanks for the offer Hetta, I'll think it over. My old eyes might need a little more upper end magnification. What is everyone using as to rings and bases ? I have Talley on another Cooper I don't seem to be finding many other options.
