Scope ? for 300prc

I put a 5-25x56 scope on my 300 prc, shooting 212gr Hornady eldx ammo at 2860fps. The scope has a total of 110 moa, 55 up & 55 down. I want to shoot out to 2900 yards. I was told to do this I need a 50 moa base for this combo to work. So I need to zero my rifle. At what yardage do I need to zero at and where will it print? Thank You

Typically 100 yards.

You will be at the top of your theoretical scope adjustment.

Be aware. Theoretical and reality may be different.

Even if you are unable to get a zero at 100 yards, all you have to do is enter your offset (height above POA) at 100 and the calculator will show your actual zero yardage.

Also, you might want to enter the info into the calculator before deciding on the moa built into your rail.
50 MOA doesn't sound like enough unless you pair it with some of the Burris rings with the inserts.

Here's a 300 Win Mag/215 Hybrid/2960 velocity at 2900 yards.

How far have you shot up to this point?

As mentioned you will need to figure out you actual data for the range you want to reach and adjust accordingly. If it does take close to 195 moa then you may be needing to zero closer to 1800-2000 yards to reach 2900 with all dialing. What scope are you using and what reticle? Asking as you can use the reticle for hold overs if needed also.

This is mine. 215 Berger @3000 fps
5000 ft elevation
Not saying it's not doable but, your WAY subsonic at 2900 yards

I did a simulation using Blue Steel Pro. At 2900 yards you need an elevation correction of 227 moa. If your scope tops out at 110 moa of travel, you would need a rail that adds another 117 moa. Your velocity at the target would be 788 fps. If you were shooting into a 10mph crosswind, you would need 29 moa of windage correction.Pinpoint - full frame.png

If you were shooting a tracer, looking through your scope you could see your trajectory would look like this. The height of your arc would be 233 ft.
