Scope dilemma

Need help, having gone through numerous scopes , ie S&B, Burris, Sightron and the rest , can someone tell me the best scope and recticle for ftr, have been looking at both Nightforce comp with Ctr recticle also the 12x42 benchrest . Even the Sightron 8 x32with the 1/16 dot takes up approx 75% of the V bull at 300 yards so out at 1000 it would be horrible. I would like this to be my last purchase of a scope for ftr if that is possible

Scope and recticle choice is purely subjective and dependent on individual choice, what works for me may not work for you. If it was my money I would but a March 10-60X52 with a fine crosshair:

I love small dot scopes for short and mid range work, however I prefer a fine crosshair for anything over 600 yards as a dot covers far too much of the target

One of my favorites for longer distance, without a center dot, is the NF NP-R2. Fine crosshairs with holdover & holdoff hash marks, but not so cluttered as to be confusing.

Thanks mk 19 and fdhuster, looks like everyone has their own preference , I like the NPR 2 recticle , do ye think that this would be better in the benchrest, rather than the nightforce comp ? Appreciate the comments

There is no such thing, in any product category for any activity. You pay your money and you take your chance, and only you can decide what's best for you.
