Scope comparison Athlon Ares vs meopta optika6

Just would like some hands on advice. Been riding the fence ever since the optika6 line was announced, seem more distraught now then ever. TIA

I would think a lot would be based on how soon you need the scope....The Optikas (some models) seem to have long wait times...there is a thread about The new Optikas, and a lot of news about which ones are shipping, and which aren't. Time was the reason I switched from the Optika to the Tract Toric 30. Though I might look at Meopta later, I am thrilled with my Tract.rsbhunter

I went with an Ares ETR based on it's reputation for excellent tracking and very good glass. I'm very interested in the Meopta 5-30 but I decided to let some other buyers be the testers. I'm sure the Meopta glass is top notch but I'm more concerned about tracking and holding POA reliably. If it develops a good reputation I'll be getting one, but not quite yet.
