I'm new to scope shooting and am shopping for my 1st serious scope. I'm wondering if you have ever seen a scope that has magnafication and click values displayed thru the scope the way cameras have information displayed in their viewfinders?

I've never seen one with click values inside but have seen one with magnification indicator at the top of the reticle, hensoldt) and another with bdc scale on the side of the reticle with an arrow that moves to indicate which distance the turret is set for, also hensoldt). Hope this helps.

Guys,
Didn't sawarovski"? spelling" make one with the laser ranger finder built in? I think they made it a few years ago.

Why would you want to see magnification and click value in the scope? Only clutters your view. A rangefinder I can comprehend for hunting/tactical purposes.

Yea, Tom Berenger, Spelling ) or his side kick had one in the movie Sniper.Blinking lights too.
Don't know the make ! LOL

Regards,

Steve

Berenger and Hollywood can afford it, you probably can't.:,

Now, if you can afford about $10K+ on a scope you can afford one that speaks the details to you. The military has some awfully expensive stuff our there that we mortals just can't touch.

That said, take a look at some Horus scopes and reticles. Also, ask this question on or send an e-mail to the Sniper's Hide Forum people and they can probably answer you quicker.

By the way, you need to answer the money question as well. How much would you consider spending on your first 'serious' scope? There's some Sightron IIIs and Nightforces that are pretty darn serious from $750 to $1,500.
